We are excited to announce that our film, The Boy And The Suit Of Lights by Inma de Reyes is one of four films selected as part of the Scotland Showcase to pitch at Cannes Docs 2023 Docs-In-Progress. The Scotland Showcase will take place at 10:00-11:15am on Friday 19th May in the Riviera 2 screening room located inside the Marché du Film.

The film is a coming-of-age story that follows Borja, a young boy growing up in Castellón, a small town in Spain, where the tradition of bullfighting weighs heavily on his shoulders. His grandfather, Matias, pins his own unfulfilled dreams of becoming a professional bullfighter onto his grandchild. Like most underprivileged kids in his town, Borja doesn't see a future beyond orange fields, fishing and bullfighting.

Cannes Docs 2023 will take place from 18th-23rd May. Both Inma de Reyes and producer Aimara Reques will be there and they look forward to meeting and sharing with industry friends. If you would like to arrange a meeting, please contact [email protected].
